Santos forward Gabigol admits his future is out of his hands as his loan deal from Inter nears it’s conclusion.

The 22-year-old joined the Brazilian club on a temporary deal in January after a disappointing spell in Milan, and he’s rediscovered his form – netting 23 times in 45 matches in all competitions.

With his loan move set to expire at the end of December, Gabigol made it clear that while he would be happy to remain with Santos, the decision is Inter’s to make.

“There are still nine matches to play,” he told GloboEsporte. “It’s very complicated. Everyone knows the sacrifices I made to return here.

“It’s out of my hands. There is a team I have a contract with [Inter] and we have to resolve things with them.

“If I were to leave, I want to make sure Santos qualify for the Copa Libertadores. If I were to stay, I’d want to play in the competition.”

Gabigol managed just one goal in 10 appearances for Inter after his €29.5 million move in the summer of 2016.
