After starring for AC Milan in their latest Serie A victory against Chievo, Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain revealed his contentment playing for the Rossoneri and working with his new teammates since he arrived in the summer.

The 30-year-old scored twice in the 3-1 win on Sunday afternoon, which took his seasonal tally to six goals in seven competitive fixtures, and the result takes the Diavolo to 10th in the league table with a game in hand.

“I feel part of this Milan,” Higuain told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “We are a fantastic group and we always work hard with great professionalism.

“We had a start [to the season] where we did not get what we deserved. Milan have had great confidence in me and I want to repay them on the field. I’m very happy here and we hope to continue like this.”

Higuain also reserved special praise for Milan teammate Suso, who assisted in all three Milan goals against Chievo and currently leads the table for the most assists in Serie A this season with six so far.

“He’s a fantastic player who always knows how to play the right ball,” he concluded.
