After being handed a partial stadium ban for racist chants, Juventus will fill their Curva Sud with children from the Piemonte Valle D’Aosta club for their home match with Genoa.

The Bianconeri were handed the sanction after the supporters’ group were seen as the cause of racist and territorial discrimination during their recent home victory against Napoli.

That means the seats would have been left empty due to the ban, however Juventus have been given permission to fill the section with children from the Piemonte Valle D’Aosta club in order to promote anti-racism initiatives already in place thanks to the UNESCO centre in Turin.

This means that 9,000 spots will be made available to children born between 2004 and 2011, with each request able to accomodate 20 children and four coaches for the match.

No word on whether this initiative will continue for Juventus’ next home match against Cagliari on November 3, as their partial stadium ban is for two games.
