AC Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has thanked coach Gennaro Gattuso for keeping faith in his ability following an excellent performance against Olympiacos.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia after the match, Calhanoglu was quick to commend Gattuso for his man management skills and for supporting him even when he hasn’t been performing well.
“I thank [Gennaro] Gattuso, he always talks with me, even when I’m not playing well, he knows I have quality and I want to repay him with performances like this,” Calhanoglu commented post match.
Cutrone entered as a substitute alongside Calhanoglu and impressed on his return to full fitness, scoring the equaliser and the final goal of the night.
“I entered the match at a good moment along with Cutrone, we pressed a lot but it wasn’t an easy match,” Calhanoglu concluded.
