Taking advantage of the international break, AC Milan representatives were in Nyon on Tuesday morning to discuss the club’s punishment for failing to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.

During the summer, the Rossoneri were initially excluded from the Europa League before that penalty was overturned on appeal, allowing Gennaro Gattuso’s men to contest this season’s competition.

At 9.30am, members of the UEFA Judge’s Chamber met with AC Milan officials for two hours in which the club’s spending under their Chinese ownership between 2014 and 2017 was put under the microscope.

In addition to president Paolo Scaroni, Giorgio Furlani and Franck Tuil, who joined the club during the summer after the Elliot group took over at the San Siro, while Gordon Singer was also present for the discussions.

Following the meeting, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan expect to be fined for their FFP failures and have set aside €18 million in their budget to deal with any such issue.

The club anticipate learning their punishment next month before the year ends, with Scaroni telling Sky Sport Italia that the club have asked for a ‘proportionate disciplinary sanction’ and is hopeful for a swift resolution.
