AC Milan goalkeeper Pepe Reina has no intention of ending his career before 2021, and has already turned his attention to becoming a coach in the future.
The Spaniard joined the Rossoneri on a free transfer over the summer, signing a contract that runs for three seasons.
Reina made it clear he will honour that deal, and outlined plans to become a coach once he does retire, as he is keen to take over at a club like Real Madrid or Barcelona.
“I want to enjoy playing football for the next three years, but I will study to become a successful coach in the future,” he told El Transistor.
“Teams like Barcelona, who made me as a player and as a person, and Real Madrid are the dream of every coach.”
Reina also heaped praise on teammate Gianluigi Donnarumma, who he believes will be a footballing star for years to come.
“He is 19 years old and has ample room for improvement,” he added. “I will try to help him.
“He is a player that will be very important in the world scene, and will be the goalkeeper of the national team for years to come.”
