The wait is over; Keita Balde has finally ended his drought at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza and the Inter forward is up and running with his first and second goals of this Serie A season.

Since returning from a spell in Ligue 1 with Monaco, Keita has struggled to rediscover the form he showed regularly at Lazio before departing Italy for France.

Now, though, he may well have turned a corner as he bagged two in Inter’s win over Frosinone and, as a result, has taken the throne of being this week’s Forza Italian Football Player of the Week.

It could have been because the quality of opposition was so poor, but Luciano Spalletti will be keen to see Balde take confidence from the performance and add to his tally in the coming weeks.
