The last set of fixtures of 2018 begins in Turin where champions and league-leaders Juventus need one more win to set a new Serie A record at this stage of the season (the current record is 52 points in 2005/06 and 2013/14).

Visiting side Sampdoria are in good form and have won their last three matches – they are looking to record four consecutive wins in the top-flight for the first time since March 2015.

Over to Verona next where Chievo are unbeaten in 12 of their last 13 Serie A home matches against newly promoted teams (W9 D3), losing just one in April 2017 (2-1 vs Crotone).

Opponents and fellow strugglers Frosinone have failed to score in six of their nine away matches in the league this season, a joint-record among top-five European leagues team in 2018/19.

Hosts Empoli have won 13 points after nine home games: they’ve only won more on their own turf at this stage once before; in 1986/87 (14 – considering three points a win).

Visitors Inter have struggled outside Milan lately and have failed to win each of their last four top-flight away games (D2 L2) – this after having won all the previous four in the competition on the road.

Genoa have a poor record in this next encounter and have won just one of their last eight home games against Fiorentina (D4 L3).

The visitors from Florence have conceded seven of their 19 goals during the final 15 minutes of games (39%); the worst-tally in the competition. Genoa, on the other hand, have scored only two goals in this period, only Parma (one) and SPAL (none) have scored fewer.

In the capital, Lazio are unbeaten in 13 of their 14 league home matches against Torino (W6 D7 L1), however they lost the most recent meeting (in December 2017 at the Olimpico).

Torino talisman Andrea Belotti has scored three goals in his last three away games, as many as he managed in the previous 26 appearances away from home.

Parma are unbeaten in their last four home matches (D3), after having lost two of their previous five home games in Serie A this season (W2 D1).

Visitors Roma continue to struggle on the road and have gained nine points in their opening nine away games in Serie A this season; just one point per game on average – their worst-tally average since 1998/99.

Sassuolo’s form has dipped recently and have won just two of their last 12 games (W2 D6 L4), after having won four of their previous six this term (W4 D1 L1).

Strong finishers Atalanta have scored 21 goals in the second half of league games this season (alongside as Napoli): no side have scored more than this.

Udinese have a strong record in this match-up and have lost just two of their 23 top-flight home games against Cagliari (W14 D7), however, the hosts lost the most recent meeting at the Dacia Arena against the Rossoblu (November 2017).

In each of Cagliari’s opening four Serie A away games at least one of the two sides failed to score. Since then, Cagliari have both scored and conceded in every one of their five away matches.

Napoli have won each of their last four home games against Bologna, scoring 15 goals (on average 3.75 per game).

Bologna are on 19-game wait for a top-flight away win: their longest run since March 2002-April 2003 (21 games, D10 L11). Few would back this run to end this time out.

Milan have failed to score in their last four successive Serie A games: their joint-worst run since 1930 (six games).

Opponents SPAL are perhaps the ideal opponents considering they are on 9-game wait for a top-flight win (D5 L4): their joint-longest run since May 1964.
