Despite reported interest from Real Betis, the agent of Lautaro Martinez insists his client will not be leaving the Nerazzurri on loan this month.

The Argentine has been limited to just four Serie A starts so far this season due to the presence of Mauro Icardi, with the Spanish side making it be known they would be happy to give him more playing time.

However Beto Yague – Martinez’s agent – has made it clear his client will continue to play for Inter for the foreseeable future.

“He’s always been happy,” he told FCInterNews.it. “Then obviously, like any footballer when he doesn’t play, let’s say he was a bit agitated.

“Perhaps it was because he felt he could always take to the field, but now he’s calmed down.

“He’s happy in Milan and he’s hoping for a prosperous 2019 for him and Inter. Lautaro has a five-year contract with the Nerazzurri, where he’s happy, and he doesn’t want to leave. He’ll stay in Milan.

“He never thought about asking for a move away. He felt the lack of minutes, yes, but he also felt the affection and faith of the fans, club and his teammates.

“Therefore I repeat, he’s never, ever thought about leaving Inter. He was very happy about scoring the winner against Napoli. It was what he needed and it took the weight off him.”

Martinez has netted five goals in 16 appearances in all competitions this season.
