Gonzalo Higuain may not be the only new face brought in by Chelsea this January, as manager Maurizio Sarri is keen to see the club sign Napoli’s Elseid Hysaj.

The Blues confirmed the signing of Higuain from Juventus on Wednesday, sparking a striker merry-go-round that sees Alvaro Morata join Atletico Madrid and Krzysztof Piatek move to AC Milan.

Daily Mirror reports Chelsea may not be done adding to their squad, as Sarri is keen to reunite with another former pupil in Hysaj.

The Albanian was a certain starter during the Italian’s time at Napoli, but he has been relegated to the bench more frequently under the tutelage of Carlo Ancelotti this season.

As a result a departure could be in the cards, though the report suggests Hysaj’s arrival wouldn’t go down too well with Cesar Azpilicueta.

The Spaniard has featured at right-back this campaign, and Hysaj’s arrival could cause some friction as he would eat into his playing time.

Hysaj has started in just 14 of Napoli’s 20 Serie A matches so far this campaign.
