Roberto Gagliardini could be offered a chance to secure regular first team football for the season run-in, with Fiorentina enquiring about a loan move for the Inter midfielder.

Having made just eight starts in all competitions for the Nerazzurri this season, the 24-year-old could be permitted to depart on a temporary basis as he looks to recover the form that he showed at Atalanta which earned him a move across Lombardy.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Fiorentina are interested in the midfielder as they aim to strengthen in the middle of the park and have made initial contact over a potential loan move.

It is unclear whether the Biscione are willing to allow Gagliardini to depart on loan this month as they have already turned down one offer for the player’s services from a foreign club.

However, the fact that a move to the Viola would be more pleasing to the player could play into their hands as he too was uninterested in the prospect of playing abroad as he wanted to remain in Italy.

Torino have also been linked with the midfielder, who joined the Beneamata in 2017.
