After an impressive start to this Serie A season with Genoa, Krzysztof Piatek is officially an AC Milan player after putting pen to paper at Casa Milan.

The ex-Grifone striker arrived in Milan on Wednesday morning and underwent his medical examinations at La Madonnina clinic and has chosen the No.19 jersey.

Milan will pay €35 million up front for the 23-year-old, in order to sign him outright immediately and he will join on a five-year contract.

Surprisingly, the player’s agent revealed there were no other clubs in for the forward this winter window, which possibly aided the Rossoneri and prevented them from having to splash out an even larger fee.

Piatek has been a revelation in Italy during 2018/19, scoring a remarkable 19 goals in 21 appearances for the Grifone.

The Pole’s arrival follows Gonzalo Higuain’s arrival in London where he will join Chelsea, subsequently freeing up Alvaro Morata to leave Stamford Bridge to return to Spain with Atletico Madrid.
