A special goal from a potentially special player, with Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo taking the prize for December thanks to an audacious strike against Sassuolo.
Collecting the ball on the right side of the penalty area, the 19-year-old showed brilliant poise to fake an initial shot, putting Gianmarco Ferrari and goalkeeper Andrea Consigli on their backsides, before dinking over the pair for added embarrassment.
That goal made Zaniolo is the second youngest player to have found the net in Serie A this season – only six days older than Enrico Brignola – and also earned Roma their 1200 Italian top flight win.
