Udinese are on the brink of completing a move for Watford forward Stefano Okaka, who last played in Serie A with Sampdoria back in 2015.

The 29-year-old has made just two league appearances for the Hornets so far this season, failing to score in the 22 minutes of Premier League action he’s been afforded.

La Gazzetta dello Sport understands Okaka will arrive on an initial loan deal with Udinese retaining the right to purchase the striker at the end of the campaign.

Okaka scored nine goals in 47 appearances for Sampdoria before a fruitful move to Anderlecht saw him net 17 in 49 competitive appearances for the Belgian side.

The move represents the latest in a long list of dealings between Watford and Udinese, with both clubs still currently owned by members of the Pozzo family.

Udinese will also look to complete a swap deal with Crotone according to the same publication, with Marcus Rohden and Andrija Balic moving in opposite directions.

Felipe Vizeu is also expected to leave the Zebrette in the coming weeks, with Brazilian side Gremio looking the most likely destination.
