Despite only joining in January, striker has revealed he wants to end his career at Brescia.

The 28-year-old left for the French giants on January 23, and he marked his debut appearance with a goal in a 2-1 defeat to Lille.

Balotelli – who was born in but grew up in Brescia – stated that while he didn’t consider returning to this past month, he hopes to play for his hometown club before hanging up his boots.

is too tactical and a bit boring,” he told Quelli che il in an interview that will air on Sunday.

“I didn’t really consider a return to over the past few months, but I can’t hide that fact that I would like to end my career at Brescia.”

Balotelli also didn’t shy away from his desire to return to the Italian national team, though he wants to show he is deserving of a recall by performing on the pitch.

“[Roberto] Mancini is the coach that knows me the best,” he added. “However, I don’t want any special treatment.

“I want the national team and I have to earn my way back on the field by scoring lots of goals.”
