Inter fell to a shock 1-0 defeat at home to lowly Bologna in Serie A on Sunday, as their poor form edged towards a crisis.

Federico Santander headed in at the near post from a first half corner to settle the match and give relegation-threatened Bologna a huge victory at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Despite enjoying the lion’s share of possession, the Nerazzurri never looked like finding an equaliser, with forwards Mauro Icardi and Lautaro Martinez seeing little action in front of goal.

The defeat saw Inter extend their goalless streak in Serie A to three matches and came just days after they were dumped out of the Coppa Italia at the hands of Lazio in midweek.
