Torino coach Walter Mazzarri claims he needs three additions to have a competitive squad following his side’s 3-1 home victory against Lazio.

The Granata ended the season with a win courtesy of goals from Iago Falque, Sasa Lukic and Lorenzo De Silvestri despite Ciro Immobile finding the back of the net.

Speaking in his press conference after the game Mazzarri was quick to offer fresh enthusiasm with talk of three summer additions despite potentially missing out on European football.

“We combined well today, I didn’t expect a win so I am happy we could create this experience for the fans today,” Mazzarri told the press.

“I would like to retain the players that we have, although I would understand if those who haven’t played as much wish to be sold.

“With three purchases this team can improve.”

Torino may yet reach the qualifying rounds of the Europa League should the likes of Roma and Milan be found guilty of violating financial regulations.

“As I said yesterday it is usually the case 63 points will land you European football,” Mazzarri continued.

“If there will be repechage then naturally we would be pleased.”
