Roma striker Patrik Schick is said to be a target for Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund, according to reports, though the Giallorossi have some financial agreements in place with Sampdoria which complicate the deal.

Schick, who has had a relatively difficult couple of years at Roma, was a target for the German side in 2017 whilst he was still at Sampdoria but ended up moving to the Italian capital instead and now Dortmund have set their sights on him again.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the complication on Roma’s part for a deal is due to the fact that Sampdoria would be due a €20 million fee were he to leave the club before February 2020 or 50 percent of the transfer fee – whichever amounts to more money.

Currently, the deal may not be financially viable as they may end up paying more to the Blucerchiati than they would conceivably receive themselves.

Due to his relatively inconsistent form it would be difficult him to command a huge fee so there’s a strong possibility he could stay put.

Last season, Schick featured 24 times in the league, nine of which were substitute appearances, in which he scored three goals and didn’t manage a single assist.
