Juventus have reached a deal with video game company Konami, who make the Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) games, for exclusive rights to use of the club’s stadium, badge and name in the upcoming edition of the game.

This means rivals EA Sports will not be allowed to use the official name in FIFA 20, though they will still be able to use the real names of players.

As a result, fans of Juventus will need to look for ‘Piemonte Calcio’ on the new edition of FIFA, which will have its own customised kit and logo.

This will be a blow to the EA Sports FIFA franchise who have been seen as dominant force in the football gaming market for years.

PES have also partnered up with the likes of Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Barcelona for the upcoming edition, though these clubs will still be licensed in FIFA 20.
