After the arrival of Croatian forward Ante Rebic from German club Eintracht Frankfurt, AC Milan coach Marco Giampaolo could change formations again and implement the 4-3-3 formation with the Rossoneri.

The former Sampdoria tactician used his preferred 4-3-1-2 formation in the 1-0 defeat against Udinese in the opening round of the 2019/20 Serie A season and switched to the 4-3-2-1 in the 1-0 victory against Brescia on Saturday evening but another change might be made for the Hellas Verona match after the international break.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the failed pursuit of Atletico Madrid forward convinced new AC Milan directors Zvonimir Boban and Frederic Massara to turn their attention towards Rebic, who can play as an orthodox winger.

Giampaolo’s predecessor Gennaro Gattuso had to play Turkish midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu as a left-winger in the 4-3-3 formation but Giampaolo could implement it with the 25-year-old Croat on left of the attacking trident.

Rebic arrived at Milan on Monday and he has had Serie A experience with Fiorentina.
