Roma coach Paulo Fonseca urged his side to maintain their strong form after witnessing them down rivals Napoli 2-1 in Serie A on Saturday.

The Giallorossi moved into third after a Nicolo Zaniolo strike and a Jordan Veretout penalty handed them victory in the Derby del Sole, despite Arkadiusz Milik pulling one back for the visitors.

A third victory on the bounce saw Roma extend their unbeaten run in Serie A to six, but Fonseca challenged his side to continue growing as they challenge for Champions League qualification.

“A football team is a project that never stops looking to improve,” the Portuguese tactician declared in his post match press conference at the Stadio Olimpico.

“We can continue to learn and we must do so. Whilst it is true that we put in a good performance and beat a strong opponent, we have won nothing yet and must continue to work hard. For me, the most important thing is that Roma has this attitude.”

Having only lost once this season, Roma currently sit just three points off Inter in second and will look to close the gap further when they take on Parma next weekend.
