Goals from Nicolo Zaniolo and Jordan Veretout saw Roma beat Napoli 2-1 in a Derby del Sole at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday afternoon.

Zaniolo put Roma ahead in the first half with a great strike, before Aleksander Kolarov missed a penalty to put the Giallorossi 2-0 up before the break after a fantastic save from Alex Meret.

Roma would eventually get their second penalty of the match and this one was put away by Jordan Veretout for his first Roma goal.

The Partenopei would get a goal back through the in-form Arkadiusz Milik, who tapped in from close range.

A dramatic derby saw eight yellow cards, including a late red for Roma defender Mert Certin.

As a result, Roma now sit third in the Serie A table, though the could be overtaken by Atalanta who play early on Sunday. Napoli meanwhile drop to seventh place.
