New AC Milan signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic has said that he will fight for the team with the intention of bringing the Rossoneri back up the Serie A table.

The 38-year-old former Sweden international has spent the past two seasons in MLS with LA Galaxy, but earlier this month confirmed he would return to Milan, having represented them from 2010 until 2012.

“I’m coming back to a club I hugely respect and to the city of Milan which I love,” Ibrahimovic told the club’s official website.

“I’ll fight together with my teammates to change the course of this season. I will do everything to make it happen.”

Ibrahimovic joined AC Milan the first time in the summer of 2010 from Spanish giants Barcelona and went on to score 56 goals in 85 competitive matches for the Diavolo, before moving on to Paris Saint-Germain.

The former Manchester United striker helped Milan to the Scudetto in 2011, as well as the Supercoppa Italiana against city rivals Inter in the same year.
