Mauro Icardi looks set to stay in France with Paris Saint-Germain beyond this season as the Ligue 1 side will make his loan move from Inter permanent.

After a turbulent end to last season with Inter, Icardi was deemed surplus to requirements by new coach Antonio Conte during the summer, and this secured a loan move to the French capital.

According to L’Equipe, Icardi will remain with PSG who have the option to make the loan deal permanent for €75 million.

Another French newspaper, Le Parisien, go even further to say that Icardi will be offered a contract until 2024.

The 26-year-old has gone on to score nine goals in 12 matches for PSG in Ligue 1 and scoring five goals in six matches in the Champions League.
