If the 2019/20 Serie A campaign cannot be completed due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus, it will be up to the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) to decided if the league title will be awarded or not.

Domestic sporting events in Italy have been cancelled until April 3 and Italian football clubs are still allowed to play in their respective Champions League and Europa League fixtures but there are some doubts to whether the league season will be completed at all.

According to Corriere della Sera, it is up to the Federcalcio lead by Gabriele Gravina to decide whether to award the Scudetto to the team which has the most points or not assign the league title to anyone if the 2019/20 Serie A season were to be cancelled.

The Italian federation will also need to formalise a list of entrants from Italy to UEFA for the four Champions League spots and two Europa League places as well as one in the preliminary rounds for 2020/21.
