Vincenzo Spadafora has once again accused Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo of breaching protocol after testing positive for COVID-19.

The 35-year-old forward contracted the virus while on international duty with Portugal, and having criticised him soon after the veteran was diagnosed, the Italian Minister of Sport decided to launch another scathing attack on the Portuguese superstar.

“Great players feel that they are above everything,” Spadafora told La7.

“When he left Italy to go in the national team, he violated the protocol and a file was opened at the Public Prosecutor’s Office.

“The message that these champions should send to everyone should be to respect the rules. All presidents and club must give a good example.”

Ronaldo captained Portugal in their 0-0 draw against France but he did not feature in their 3-0 victory against Sweden in Group 3 of the Nations League.

His last Serie A appearance was in a 2-2 draw against Roma in Week 2.
