Enigmatic Italian forward Mario Balotelli has been training with Franciacorta while he is still searching for another club at professional level.
The 30-year-old is a free agent after he played for Brescia during the 2019/20 season but his contract was not extended due to the Rondinelle’s relegation to Serie B and the relationship with Leonessa patron Massimo Cellino had deteriorated.
According to Bresciaoggi, Balotelli has been permitted to train with the Serie D Girone B club from Adro, Lombardy by their sporting director Eugenio Bianchi, who knows Balotelli’s brother Enock Barwuah from their time at Ciliverghe.
The former Italian international wants to use this time to train without much stress placed upon him and he is not expected to sign for Franciacorta as he still holds the desire to sign with another professional club.
Balotelli played 19 Serie A matches for Brescia in the 2019/20 campaign, scoring five goals, and receiving six yellow cards as well as one red card.
