Sassuolo are hoping to have Ciccio Caputo back fit and ready to take on Inter in Serie A this coming weekend.

The No.9 has been missing through injury recently, which also ruled him out of Roberto Mancini’s Italy squad for the November internationals, but the Neroverdi could see their talisman return on Saturday.

Tuttosport are reporting that Caputo could be in line to play as Sassuolo host Inter at the Mapei Stadium.

Federico Ricci, who had been out due to testing positive for COVID-19, is also back and available for selection.

Roberto De Zerbi’s side come into the Round 9 fixture sitting unbeaten and second in Serie A, behind only AC Milan.

Inter, meanwhile, have won just four of their eight games to date and sit fifth in the standings.

Caputo has eight goal involvements in six Serie A outings this season, scoring five times and assisting a further three.

Before travelling to Reggio Emilia, Inter host Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.
