Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen has admitted his time with the Nerazzurri hasn’t gone to plan as talks of January exit gather steam.

The Danish international was brought in during the January transfer window, however so far he’s been unable to rediscover the form that made him a star with Tottenham.

“No, this isn’t what I dreamed of,” he told TV2 Sport. “I think that every player wants to play as much as they can, but the coach decides who plays.

“There’s a situation where the majority of fans want to see me play. Obviously, it’s what I want too. The coach has a different idea, which as a player you have to respect. At this time things aren’t going well for Inter, but in the past, when I wasn’t playing a lot, victories still came about.

“Therefore I respect that I will play less when the team wins.”

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in landing Eriksen, and he didn’t hide he may have to leave Italy in order to get regular playing time.

“At this time I am concentrating on my football,” he added.

“We’ll see when the transfer window opens if something happens or not.”
