Here is the Team of the Week for Round 12 of the 2020/21 Serie A season, which is deployed in the usual 3-4-3 formation. Let us know your thoughts!

Pierluigi Gollini – Atalanta

It took a stunning strike from Federico Chiesa to beat the Orobici goalkeeper, otherwise Gollini was not overawed by the Juventus attack. Saving a penalty from Cristiano Ronaldo capped off a great performance.

Davide Calabria – AC Milan

Without the attacking threat of Theo Hernandez on the left flank, Calabria was given more license to go forward and he scored the Rossoneri’s first goal of the match with a diagonal drive from outside of the box.

Kamil Glik – Benevento

The experienced Polish defender rarely lost a dual in defence and he posed an aerial threat at set-pieces.

Chris Smalling – Roma

Defended effortlessly and he was alert whenever the Torino attack posed a danger.

Federico Chiesa – Juventus

Opened the scoring with a strike from long range and dropped back to help the defence whenever necessary.

Nicolo Barella – Inter (2 apps)

Showed a lot of fight and determination, even when his teammates struggled to get into the game. Played a part in the action that resulted in the decisive penalty.

Albin Ekdal – Sampdoria

The Swede won the ball back for his team, dictated the play, and he gave Il Doria the lead with a powerful low strike from outside the penalty area.

Musa Barrow – Bologna (2 apps)

Missed a penalty, but he still inspired the Felsinei comeback against Spezia, taking the corner which resulted in the opener and then equalised with an audacious lob.

Mattia Destro – Genoa

The Grifone came close to pulling off one of the shocks of the season and they led twice thanks to his double.

M’Bala Nzola – Spezia (2 apps)

Grabbed a brace for the Aquilotti as they took a two-goal lead against Bologna.

Franck Ribery – Fiorentina (2 apps)

Earned the penalty which resulted in the equaliser and he was denied the winner only by the crossbar.
