Andrea Agnelli continues to come under fire from all over Europe as the fallout from the Super League’s formation and then immediate folding continues to unravel.

The latest person to have a dig is Jean-Michel Aulas – the owner of French Ligue 1 club Olympique Lyonnais – who is said to be seething with the Juventus chairman.

In an interview with L’Equipe, Aulas said: “I tried to call Andrea Agnelli on Sunday and he ignored me”.

The Lyon owner continued and didn’t mince his words as he made his feelings about the situation more than clear.

“The situation makes me uncomfortable because he had our full confidence and I myself was very close to him on both a personal and professional level.

“The thing that’s even more surprising is that the man himself lacks substance. I would have wanted him to have told us that something was going to happen on Saturday or Sunday.

” He must have had his reasons, but we weren’t aware of it [the Super League announcement] and now he’s created a real problem. I feel like I’ve been deceived.”
