Joaquin Correa has officially joined Inter from Lazio, allowing Simone Inzaghi to reunite with his former player at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
Inzaghi had wanted to sign Correa for some time, though the Serie A champions were considering a move for Torino forward Andrea Belotti as well, despite looking strong in attack as they opened the 2021/22 season with a 4-0 hammering of Genoa.
Both Lazio and Inter have now confirmed that the Argentine has completed his move.
In their statement, Lazio announced the forward will join I Nerrazurri on an initial season-long loan worth €5 million. The Italian champions will then be obligated to make the transfer permanent and pay Lazio a further €25 million, in installments split over the next three years.
In their statement welcoming Correa, Inter confirmed the 27-year old had signed a deal until the summer of 2025.
