Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will be leaving I Bianconeri and he will not be included in the squad for the Empoli game.

La Vecchia Signora will host the Tuscan side in Round 2 of Serie A action on Saturday evening but the Portuguese forward has ruled himself out of the match.

“Yesterday he told me that he no longer plans to play for Juventus,” Allegri said in his press conference. “For this reason he will not be called up for tomorrow.

“Things pass, it is a law of life. Juventus remain, which is the most important thing. Ronaldo gave his contribution, he made himself available, now he goes away, and life goes on.

“Ronaldo is to be thanked for what he has done, also as an example among young people. But as I said, we need to move on.”

Ronaldo has scored 101 goals in 134 competitive matches for Juventus since joining from Spanish giants Real Madrid in 2018.
