Marcelo Brozovic’s father and agent has arrived in Milan to discuss the midfielder’s contract renewal with Inter.
Inter’s administrative issues remain interesting even though the transfer window is now shut. It has been the cause of crucial players’ departures such as Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku.
According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, they will be working hard to keep midfielder Brozovic. His agent is reportedly in Milan to discuss the terms of a new contract.
Brozovic’s current one is set to expire in June 2022, he is getting €3.5 million per season and his entourage’s will is to go up to €6m.
Inter are willing to meet the requirements considering the Croatian’s input over the last two seasons.
However, with the cost-COVID policy set by the owners, some complications might appear.
The 28-year-old has been very understanding of the financial situation and accepted to postpone the negotiations until after the transfer window. Nevertheless, Inter have to act quickly and flexibly to keep him for a longer period.
