Brahim Diaz has been diagnosed with COVID-19 after he received the results of his test on Friday.
The 22-year-old becomes the latest AC Milan to test positive for the virus after Theo Hernandez had done so after returning from international duty.
“AC Milan announce that Brahim Diaz has tested positive for a swab carried out today,” read a statement on the official club website.
“The player is fine and is in isolation at home. The whole team was tested with negative results.
“A close monitoring with swabs will follow according to the indications provided by the competent health authorities, which were immediately informed.”
Brahim also revealed on social media that he is indeed in isolation and he thanked people who sent their best wishes to him for a quick recovery.
“I am isolated at home after testing positive for Coronavirus,” he said on Twitter.
“Luckily I am fine, thanks for your messages. Now it’s my turn to cheer for the team from here for a few days.”
