Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has said that it will be unusual facing Simone Inzaghi as Lazio play Inter in Serie A on Saturday evening.
The Serbian midfielder played under Inzaghi when he was coaching the Aquile from 2016 until 2021 and now they are going facing each other as opponents for the first time.
“It will be a bit strange to face Inzaghi because we worked together for five years, but now he will arrive in Rome as an opponent and therefore in those 90 minutes we will try to take everything we can,” Milinkovic-Savic told the Lazio matchday programme.
“Then after the game, I will give him a hug.”
Lazio suffered a 3-0 defeat to Bologna in the previous round of Serie A action and Milinkovic-Savic is confident that the Biancocelesti can atone with a strong performance against Inter.
“We prepared it like all the others, knowing that the Nerazzurri are in a great patch of form, but we will try to redeem ourselves after the away match in Bologna,” he said.
