Milan come into the weekend’s action as leaders of Serie A – level with Napoli on 31 points and unbeaten so far – whereas Inter are already chasing from behind with a seven-point gap separating the champions from their cross-city rivals.

“Inter are more organised and have more experience, so the two teams are on par with one another. The league table lies.
