AC Milan want to tie Theo Hernandez down to a longer contract, as the Frenchman’s current deal with the Serie A side is set to expire in 2024.

The Rossoneri don’t want to risk losing Theo to one of Europe’s elite clubs, and are aware that his performances since joining from Real Madrid are likely to attract attention from elsewhere.

Tuttosport are reporting that contact has already been made between Milan and Theo’s representatives, and the club have tabled an offer of €3.5 million per year, which would see his salary more than double from his current rate of €1.5m per year.

Theo, for now, wants slightly more though. It is thought that an agreement could be reached at around €4m.
