AC Milan play host to Inter on Sunday in Serie A‘s first Derby della Madonnina of the season, looking to pull even further clear of their cross-city rivals at the top of the table.

With plenty of points of interest surrounding the game, one of the most intriguing to keep an eye on will undoubtedly be how both Hakan Calhanoglu and Brahim Diaz fare, each looking to lead their respective sides to a win.

After Calhanoglu’s move across the city to Inter over the summer on a free transfer, Brahim has stepped up to fill the void left by the Turk at Milan, and Tuttosport have labelled their reunion as the “true derby” this weekend.

“From teammates last season to rivals now,” Tuttosport wrote. “The [Milan] fans were quick to console themselves with Brahim.

“Calhanoglu is looking for a turning point, with [Arturo] Vidal and [Stefano] Sensi looming, but [Simone] Inzaghi wants to give Calhanoglu another chance in ‘his’ match.”
