AC Milan forward Rafael Leao is hoping to help the Rossoneri to a memorable Derby della Madonnina win over Inter when the two meet in Serie A on Sunday evening.
The Rossoneri come into Round 12 with a seven-point lead over their cross-city rivals and champions Inter, and the Portuguese is hoping his side can widen the gap.
“I remember the atmosphere of my first derby,” Leao remembered, speaking to La Repubblica. “It’s a shame we lost, and the one I won had no fans in attendance. Now we want to win in front of the fans.
“It’s early in the season, and Inter won the last. We have to respect them.
“But a derby is a derby. Winning it is always important.”
