Former AC Milan and Inter forward Giampaolo Pazzini expects Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez to be decisive in Serie A‘s Derby della Madonnina on Sunday.
In his playing days, Pazzini scored 24 goals in 86 Milan appearances after making the move across the city, having previously netted 19 goals in 60 appearances for Inter.
“Milan are doing extraordinary things,” the ex-forward and current DAZN pundit said to QS. “Inter are a little behind, but they come into the derby odd the back of a Champions League win against Sheriff.
“There’s so much motivation and adrenaline ahead of a derby that fatigue disappears. Playing the derby in front of a full [Stadio] San Siro gives you energy.
“It’s usually the forwards to make the difference in these games, the great champions. I’m focusing on [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic on one side, as he’s a beast in these challenges. Inter have both [Edin] Dzeko and Lautaro [Martinez].”
