AC Milan legend Jose Altafini says that the Rossoneri’s use of Zlatan Ibrahimovic should now be limited to substitute appearances only.

Altafini, 83, played for Milan between 1958-1965, winning two Serie A titles and a European Cup and believes that Ibrahimovic should now be considered an impact player and nothing more.

“I think that Milan should only use him in the last half-hour of games,” Altafini told Tuttosport. “He should no longer be played from the start.

“Against Udinese, you could see him struggling to get into the game from the start. He wasn’t able to do his best in certain situations in the game.

“However, at the end of the game he was able to take advantage of his tiring opponents and this is how he should play from now on”.
