Andrea Belotti could leave Torino for Atalanta if La Dea sell star striker Duvan Zapata to English Premier League side Newcastle United.
The Magpies were purchased by a consortium from Saudi Arabia in October 2021, and the Colombia international is one of the players they would like to strengthen their squad with during the winter transfer window.
According to Il Giorno, Atalanta are not willing to sell Zapata, but they could sell the Colombian striker to Newcastle if they offer around €40-45 million.
As a replacement for Zapata, La Dea plan to replace him with Belotti, whose contract with Torino expires in June.
The 28-year-old Italian international has also struggled with muscular injuries, and he has scored twice in just nine Serie A games so far in 2021/22.
Zapata has scored 78 goals in 152 competitive matches for Atalanta since he joined from Sampdoria in 2018 whereas Belotti has found the back of the net 107 times in 238 games in all competitions for Torino since arriving from Palermo in 2015.
