STADIO GIUSEPPE MEAZZA (Milan) – Despite having earned the most points from trailing position in Serie A this season, Inter couldn’t come back from two goals down against Sassuolo and also failed to score for the second time in a row in all competitions.
In the desperate attempt to react after a first half which saw the Neroverdi 2-0 up, Simone Inzaghi brought on Edin Dzeko and Denzel Dumfries – the latter once again showcased a better physical condition than most of his teammates, although his teammates weren’t able to make the most of his valuable contribution in the second half.

INTER PLAYER OF THE MATCH – DENZEL DUMFRIES
In a night that saw many of the Inter key players fail to deliver against an inspired Sassuolo, Denzel Dumfries tried to spark a reaction in his side after coming off the bench at half time, as his presence and fitness seemed enough to scare the Neroverdi defense, but none of his teammates could take advantage of the Dutch’s runs forward and crosses.
