One of Juventus‘ January additions, Denis Zakaria, believes that joining the Bianconeri in January was as simple a decision as they come.
The Swiss midfielder, 25, joined Juventus from Borussia Monchengladbach in a €5 million deal in order to add beef to the centre of the Bianconeri’s midfield following the exit of Rodrigo Bentancur.
“I’m a real battler in midfield,” Zakaria told Tuttosport. “When Juventus come in for you it’s something you don’t even have to think about, so I grasped the occasion immediately.

“My father is a Juventus fan, so I know loads about this club. I’m going to do my best and try as hard as possible to help the team. I knew I would leave Borussia, but I wasn’t expecting it to be in the middle of the season”.
Zakaria played 16 times in the Bundesliga this season, scoring twice, and will now be available for Sunday night’s Serie A game in which Juventus host Hellas Verona at the Allianz Stadium in a 20:45 kick-off.
