With a new Serie A season set to begin on 13th August, drastic changes have occurred in most clubs, especially the transfer of players following the summer transfer window.

This may affect the performance of different teams and the betting industry as bettors try to evaluate their odds and know where to wager their bets.

Juventus

Juventus has recently been registering disappointing scores after coming in the fourth position four consecutive times. However, their trajectories may change this season based on the reputation of their newly acquired talent.

The club has signed up Pogba, who rejoins the team on a free transfer from Manchester United after six years, and is joined by the swinger midfielder Angel Di Maria. The defence team is manned by Gleison Bremer, who won the defender of the year award for the 2021-2022 season while at Torino.

When backed by other team players, this group is expected to make a significant impact and return, taking the club back to its long-lost glory.

Inter- Milan

In the last three seasons, Milan has finished in the second, first, and second positions, respectively. Taking this into account, it could also take the lead in the 2022/23 season.

The additional players in the club can primarily impact the outcomes. They include the forward Romelu Lukaku, who scored twenty-four goals and eleven forwards in the previous season, ranking him as the second best player in Serie A.

He is joined by Hakan Calhanoglu and the veteran Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who make up a strong mid-fielder team. Other outstanding players include the goalkeeper Andre Onana, Nicollo Barella, Alessandro Bastoni, and Milan Skiniar.

AS Roma

If the last season’s outcomes are anything to go by, the coming season will look up for AS Roma. The club has undergone transformative changes under its coach, Jose Mourinho. Though an incremental improvement, the team moved from the seventh position to the sixth position courtesy of great techniques by the savvy coach.

Towards the end of the last season, Roma won its first-ever Europa Conference League after beating Feyenoord in a match that ended 1-0. The win was the club’s first major European title in sixty years.

Known for his ability to create a stifling defence, the team’s defence improved remarkably under Mourinho’s watchful eyes. They conceded few goals and shots, totalling fifty-three goals, unlike fifty-eight in the prior season.

The defence is set to only get stronger with the addition of big names to the team. They include Paul Dybala and Nemanja Matic, who joins Tammy Abraham and Nicolo Zaniolo. If the team improves its tactics and retains recent success, it could be on its way to winning the Scudetto next season.

AC Milan

AC Milan has had its fair share of success, having won the Serie A championship nineteen times. Its recent success can be attributed to the manager’s efforts.

Stefano Pioli Rossoneri found the club when it was on the verge of bankruptcy and has revived it into the glorious club it is today. His win of the Scudetto makes him the perfect person to spearhead the club this coming season.

Taking advantage of the summer transfer window, it has new entrants who are expected to maintain and elevate the club’s success. They include Marko Lazetic, Divock Origi, and Alessandro Florenzi.

With the club retaining Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara, its overall performance is definitely on the right track.

Atalanta BC

The club has been consistent in their attack strategies which have made waves in Serie A, earning them consecutive finishes in the third position, save for last season.

The team’s new arrivals are mainly young players it is banking on to improve its score. These include the 18-year-old centre-back, Giorgio Scalvini, and the 23-year-old midfielder, EdersonĀ  Santos, who helped Salernitana clinch a position in Serie A last year.

Though beating solid teams like Juventus and Roma may prove difficult, we could see the team come back to claim a place in the top five positions in the next season.

SSC Napoli

In the previous seasons, Napoli has posted positive records, holding positions two and three in Serie A. However, despite scoring 74 goals last season, the team has majorly faced the departure of key players.

The team lost long-time winger Lorenzo Insigne to Toronto, defender Kalidou Koulibaly to Chelsea, while the forward, Dries Mertens, was allowed to exit after failing to reach an agreement on a new contract.

This leaves it largely dependent on its top players: the striker Victor Osimhen, who scored fourteen goals last season, Hirving Lozano, and Juan Jesus.

Overlooked by all these challenges, it is difficult to predict the performance of Napoli next season. However, with their attack still strong, you could be in for a surprise.
