Cagliari director Nicola Salerno has denied the reports suggesting that David Astori is heading for Roma.
“There is no truth in it, we haven’t even started a negotiation with Walter Sabatini,” director of sport Salerno told asromaradio.it.
“Besides, the transfer market is closed until June, so what are we supposed to be talking about?”
Business between both clubs already took place in January when Cagliari sold Radja Nainggolan to Roma.
“It took us three months to sort that deal out, so it’s not as if we could close for Astori in half a day. I can assure you this report has no foundation.”
