Reports in Italy suggest that Monaco are set to launch a new bid for young Inter striker Mauro Icardi.
The French side are closing a deal that will see James Rodriguez move to Real Madrid for somewhere around €88 million and are believed to be looking for a replacement in attack.
According to Sport Mediaset, Monaco will offer €27 million for the forward. Icardi, 21, recently expressed satisfaction with his role at Inter, while both coach Walter Mazzarri and owner Erick Thohir have praised the Italo-Argentinean recently.
The former Sampdoria man’s controversial relationship with Wanda Nara, the ex-wife of best friend and Inter teammate Maxi Lopez, remains in the headlines, with Icardi getting tattoos of Lopez’s children on his left arm.
