Parma Primavera coach Hernan Crespo expressed his backing of former president Tommaso Ghirardi in the midst of the club’s financial crisis.
Parma have teetered on the brink of a financial crisis that could see the club go bust; currently seeing the Ducali struggle to even cover the costs of playing games in Serie A.
Crespo defended former Parma president Ghirardi, who has been heavily criticised and even received death threats from Parma fans.
“At the present moment I will not judge whether he [Ghirardi] was right or wrong,” Crespo said to Sky Sport Italia.
“There are people whose job it is to determine these things.
“I was one of those who believed in Ghirardi, and I will keep believing in him still.”
Ghirardi is currently under criminal investigation in relation to his activities with the club.
