Sampdoria midfielder Roberto Soriano.

The Italian played under new Rossoneri coach Sinisa Mihajlovic last season and was said to be requested by the Serbian boss to the Milan directors. Adriano Galliani, however, was not able to agree a fee for the transfer of Soriano with the Blucerchiati.

According to Milan Channel there are no new meetings expected to discuss the transfer and the deal appears to be off

They are also reporting that Milan are currently monitoring Alessandro Matri’s sale very closely with Lazio being interested should they reach the Champions League group stage.

The Rossoneri are likely to sign a midfielder before the end of the transfer window and have been linked with a myriad of names including Axel Witsel and Joao Moutinho.
